Iraq is a country with a rich history and many famous landmarks that reflect its ancient civilizations. Some of the most famous places in Iraq include:



Babylon: An ancient city known for the Hanging Gardens, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was a major center of Mesopotamian civilization and offers insights into Iraq's ancient heritage.

Baghdad: The capital city, home to the Iraqi National Museum, which contains artifacts from Sumerian, Babylonian, and Assyrian civilizations. Also notable is the Al-Mustansiriya School, one of the world's oldest universities.


Erbil Citadel: Located in the capital of the Kurdistan region, Erbil, it is one of the oldest continuously inhabited sites and a UNESCO World Heritage location, showcasing Iraq's deep historical roots.


These sites, among others, showcase Iraq's historical and cultural significance as a cradle of civilization
